|
Installing Fonts is simple a simple task. Simply click
on a letter from A to Z which will show you all the the fonts and any
sub categories of fonts listed under the letter you choose. You will see
a 3D image of the font with a drop shadow to get an idea what it will
look like if your using it with Adobe Photoshop or some other paint program

To install the font simply click on the 3D image and
it will ask you if you would like to install the font. If you choose yes
it will copy the font to your computer and a message box will pop up confirming
installation was successful. You may install as many fonts as like to
your computer but should keep it at reasonable number because adding them
in the hundreds will slow you system down a bit.
Registering Fonts button will do exactly that. You should
click this button once you have installed all the fonts you like and are
ready to exit Total Fonts 2000. By clicking this button it updates your
fonts folder and you may now use any of the fonts with any Application
like Word or Photoshop. If any programs you wish to use are open before
you installed any fonts you must shutdown the program and restart it.
You should exit all programs before you start Total Fonts 2000.

What Is Freeware Anyway? |
|
Freeware programs are either distributed for the love of humanity, for
fame, or as stripped down versions of programs that do cost money. Remarkably,
some of the very best programs for using the Internet are completely free.
Most freeware, even though it's not commercially sold, is copyrighted
by the author. Always check the license agreement if you consider using
the application for anything than your personal use.
Tech Support for freeware applications? Usually NOT! Some authors however
offer you support, you'll find details inside the application.
|
|
Freeware vs. Commercial Shareware |
| Shareware (try before
you buy) or Commercial Demos offer you tech support and are more
likely to be of higher quality, since the author can invest more resources
into the development of the application. Some freeware uses advertising
to finance the development, this programs are called "sponsored" or "ad
supported", you get it for free and the costs are covered by exposing you
to banner advertising every time you run the application. |
